HEATHER SCOBIE (Producer/Director) has been in the film industry since the mid 1990s.  On the production side, her time spent as a professional camera assistant gave her great exposure to filmmaking while she worked on numerous television shows, commercials, music videos, and feature films.   Some of her work can be seen in the article, Sound and Fury by Jay Holben, American Cinematographer Magazine - July 2000 issue.  There is also an article written in the Hollywood Reporter NEW MEDIA IV: Digital Filmmaker Special Issue - June 23, 2000.  

For several years, her experience in post-production has been a valuable asset to her overall industry growth.  She completed contract work with Disney, through EDS Digital Studios, for color restoration graphic artistry on five classic animated features.  Heather also spent several years working with Technicolor Creative Services as a supervisor, overseeing Disney specifications and qualifications on DVD authoring, as well as providing authoring assistance.

Taking her experience from these other fields, she’s decided to make the leap into producing and directing.  Her latest project included a live advanced script read performance with 22 actors for the feature length script “Returning Champion”, written by Michele Gendelman & Ursula Ziegler and presented by the Screen Actors Guild and the Austin Actors Conservatory.  Heather has also been a proud member of both of those organizations as well as the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists, Texas Motion Picture Alliance, and the Reel Women Organization.
